The terminology "GIGO" applies.
GIGO means Garbage-in, Garbage-out.
If after several years since you wrote for first song, your melody still sound kiddish, it is time to reflect upon the kind of music you listen to.
Many Chinese pop songwriters listen only to Chinese Pop - especially the typical love ballad. If you cannot break the habit, you will not be able to open your mind to more developed music genres.
Most people find it hard to switch to genres like Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Jazz or Bossa Nova.
Tell yourself, give it a try. You would be surprised that after one year down the road, your music will be different.
